First Love - Ivan Toergenev ❊

In this classic Russian novella, the 16-year-old main character falls under the spell of a haughty, (slightly) older lady. The pleasure and pain that come together in yearning for someone is described here in an accurate, light-hearted yet tender way.

I thought the original cover of The Little Russian Library worked with a pattern worked very well. That's why I applied it myself, however, my cover has a bit more of a 1960's look instead of 1860 hihi

✷ Recommended? For sure! This is a great starting point for Russian classics, if you don't want to start with the typical tomes. Anyone who has ever fallen for someone who is unavailable, will be amazed by the timeless relevance and approachable writing of this novella.
